i) Ensure you bring in your CRTV member number
ii) You will be asked if you have a NIC when you apply. If you do not, our resellers can sell you the NIC for you to do your own installation or you can have any of the resellers do the installation for you. The installation would include the new NIC and LAN connection cable, configuration of TCP/IP networking and a final testing to ensure all is working well.

Payment Method:
ALL Digital Ark Cable Internet Accounts must be paid by VISA, MasterCard or Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) from your chequing or savings account. Any of the resellers can supply you with the PAD Authorization forms. You will need to provide a VOID cheque if you are using the PAD from your chequing account. In summary, Digital Ark Cable Internet Accounts must be paid ahead of time. The only exception is for 6 or 12 month accounts, which can be paid by cash or cheque (in full at the time of subscribing). There is no discount for signing up for a longer period. Digital Ark Cable Internet Account is not subject to inclusion in any of the Digital Ark Internet Dial-up account specials, which are held periodically.

Your first month is prorated then subsequent months are charged calendar monthly ONLY. Once you complete your registration for this service, the registration is forwarded to the Digital Ark from the reseller, who in turn will contact the Cable Company to arrange for your installation of your cable modem and/or cable service. We will advise you of the approximate timeframe involved to do the installation. CRTV will contact you to arrange for an installation date. Also, Digital Ark takes this into account when charging you for your first month.

You will then be given your start-up Instructions along with your IP, gateway and netmask numbers. If you are a Digital Ark customer, your PPP access will be disabled when you transfer over to the Digital Ark Cable Internet Account as you will no longer require dial-up access. If you do, however, also need to access your email from another location (i.e. office), you will still require the PPP access along with a separate dial-up account. We usually recommend a Tiny Ten Account for this purpose which will give you 10 hours of dial-up for when you need to access from somewhere other than your computer set-up with the Cable Modem.

Ethernet Card:
NIC installation = $99.95 for NIC, LAN connection cable, installation, set-up of your TCP/IP networking and testing of the system once installed. If you wish to purchase a NIC and install it yourself, you are looking at approximately $40 to $60 retail. Again, if you are already on this service with another provider, then this is already installed. The designated Digital Ark resellers can all provide this installation service or sell you the NIC if you are doing the installation.
