Federal Government publications and other information products are made available for free public use in Federal depository libraries throughout the United States. To find a Federal depository library near you, choose a state from the map above or search by state, area code, or congressional district. Find out more about the Federal Depository Library Program.

Search by state, area code, or congressional district:

  • View a listing of all Federal depository libraries:
  • Search by state/commonwealth/territory:
  • Search by area code (e.g. 301, 703, 240):
  • Search by congressional district: State: District #: (e.g. 01)

Regional Libraries. Some libraries are indicated in the search results as a "REGIONAL" library. There are currently fifty three (53) Regional libraries. All states have, or are covered by, a Regional library. Regional libraries receive all materials distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program. Other libraries select materials according to the needs of their communities.

Congressional Districts. Enter 00 as the district number for the following states:

  • Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming.
These states have no traditional Congressional districts, but each is served by one Member- At- Large for the whole state.

  • American Samoa, Guam, Micronesia-FSM (enter FM), Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Washington, DC. These commonwealths and territories have no Congressional representatives, but do have a non-voting delegate, except Micronesia-FSM that has none, and Puerto Rico that has a resident commissioner.
