While the calendar teases us with hints of spring, winter will not go quietly. The shoots of tulips and narcissus will soon rise from the thawing earth. Buds will swell and sap will flow, and the first flowers, snowdrops, will soon appear. Look for them in the Bulb Garden, English Walled Garden and in the Rose Garden next to the East Portico. "In Search Paradise" awaits you in the Education Center, where giant photographs and small gardens allow you to glimpse the glory of gardens around the world. The Greenhouses provide a quick trip to the tropics, with displays of cactus and succulents and many exotic species such as orchids, gingers and bougainvillea. Colorful bromeliads, flamingo flowers and kalanchoe are currently on display.
