NOAA SATELLITE CAPTURES MIDDLE EAST SAND STORMS A NOAA polar-orbiting satellite captured sand storms in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. There was too much cloud cover of Iraq to see the sand storms in that region. The NOAA satellite image shows large sand storms spread over a wide area of Saudi Arabia.

ICEBERG C-21 BREAKS OFF SHACKLETON ICE SHELF The National Ice Center in Suitland, Md., confirms an iceberg broke off from the Shackleton Ice Shelf, a large sheet of glacial ice and snow extending from the Antarctic mainland into the western Wilkesland Sea. Full Story Inside
