The Met Office produces long-range forecasts for all regions of the globe using a number of different methods. The latest forecasts for any part of the world may be viewed by following the links below. Information on the forecasting methods used is also provided.

The Monthly Outlook
A UK weather outlook `headline' for the month ahead is updated here every Friday.

Global seasonal forecasts
Outlooks for temperature and rainfall up to 6-months ahead for all regions of the globe, updated shortly after the middle of each month.

Forecasts for specific seasons or phenomena
Forecasts for specific seasons (e.g. Sahelian rainy season) and phenomena (e.g. the North Atlantic Oscillation, NAO).

Forecasts of annual global average temperature
Forecasts of global average surface temperature, produced each December.
