NEW Daily Hours Feature

All Digital Ark customers in Campbell River and Comox Valley areas now have the option of having their usage sent to them on a daily basis via a daily email. This allows for easy tracking of your time online and eliminates you having to go and request the hours check.

If you want to have your usage sent to you automatically via email on a daily basis, it is as simple as emailing admin@ark.com and tell them you want your hours sent daily and they will have this set-up for you within one working day. Then, your total usage (from your Monthly Anniversary Day...see below for an explanation) will be sent to you automatically once per day.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT CHECKING YOUR OWN HOURS:

With our change to a new billing system came a new way of tracking your hours. The system tracks your hours based on the start date for your service (we call this your Anniversary Day). Hours used to be calculated on a Calendar Monthly basis regardless of your account dates. So, as example, if you signed up on the 15th of the month, your hours are now tracked monthly from the 15th to the 14th (midnight) of the following month.

While this change was being implemented, to accomodate the "cross over" period, we did not charge for overhours for the Aug and Sept 2000 periods. This allowed us to facilitate a clean cross over to the new Anniversary Hours Tracking and Billing while ensuring that no subscriber received a bill with cross-over dates.

The Anniversary Hours Tracking and Billing internal programming is now complete. Our next step is to complete the programming on the USER INTERFACE on the Internet. (This is where you go to request your current hours for your month. ) We will have this available shortly and appreciate your patience while we complete the programming. In Feb 2001, we completed the "Daily Usage Email" which any Digital Ark dial-up client can request via admin@ark.com. Simply email us advising you want your usage sent daily and we will set that up for you within one working day. This eliminates your having to go to the hours interface and request the hours. It is done automatically for you.

If you prefer to require your Hours for the current period, please:

1) Email us at hours@ark.com FROM the email address needing the hours check done.

2) In the body of the email, type: HOURS CHECK then send.

Your hours will be emailed back to you.
