Product Design & Development
The essence of what a product becomes is all about design & development -- all areas of design. At Synthesis, Product Design is a core area of expertise. We design the inside, the outside and all the mechanical areas in-between. We also work with our partners to fulfill the Electrical and Manufacturing requirements of Product Development.
This slide shows the powertrain of a custom designed manufacturing machine. For clarity, only the powertrain is shown, but the design included the full 55,000 pound machine. Engineering analysis, fundamental design and component specification were the heart of the design process.
To put it in perspective, the large gear in the foreground is 42" in diameter, and weighs 550 pounds. Key elements of the design included special attention to ease of inspection and maintenance.
