The
Briefing Book on International Organizations in Geneva is prepared
by the United States Mission to the United Nations in Geneva as
a concise guide to the principal international organizations in
and around this city.
The book
provides descriptions of some 60 organizations. It includes chapters
on the major United Nations bodies such as the World Health Organization
and U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, as well as other major international
organizations ranging from the World Trade Organization to the International
Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
The
2000-2001 edition was published in November 2000 and reflects the
activities of Geneva's international organizations as of that date.
