 Hotel Moderno is located in the center of Madrid, in “La Puerta delSol”(Calle Arenal, nº 2) the central point of Madrid. Around our Hotel our visitors can find the main streets for shopping and the largest department store area.
On the other hand the Historical Madrid (Plaza Mayor, Madrid de los Austrias, Ayuntamiento, etc...) and the most cosmopolitan Madrid (The Royal Palace, The Royal Theatre, The Opera House, Parliament, etc..), are places you can reach after a few minutes walk.
All our rooms have full equipped privated bathroom some with hidromassage bathtubes, telephone, satellite-TV, video, air-conditioning, music in room, personal safe-box, etc....
You can aswell relax in our attractively furnished lounge or enjoy the beautifull views from our terraces.
As per its location the Hotel is perfectly linked with all local transportation.Our Metro station is SOL.

From the airport you can take:
1º. Our underground/metro stop is SOL(50meters away from Hotel entrance).. Takes a bout 30 minutes and costs about 0.90.- per pax. You take the metro in Barajas and change to line number 4 at "MAR DE CRISTAL". From "MAR DE CRISTAL" you have to go to "GOYA" and change to line 2 untill "SOL". In "SOL" take "CALLE MAYOR" exit. When you reach the street look to your right and you will see the add of the Hotel. There we are.
2º. You can take a bus from the airport to PLAZA DE COLON. Takes about 25 mimutes and costs per pax 375.- pts. From there you can take the metro -you already know- or a taxi 15 minutes and about 6,00.- Euros to CALLE ARENAL Nº 2 (WHERE WE ARE).
3º. You can take a taxi to the Hotel. It should not cost you more than 20,00.- Euros. If you have any doubt don't pay and tell at reception to pay (we will charge you later).
