OFDA RESPONSE IN ANGOLA
Relief supplies provided by USAID’s Office of U.S.
Foreign Disaster Assistance and Office of Food for Peace,
were critical in supporting the Angolan peace process during
the initial period following the signing of the memorandum
of understanding, which ended Angola’s 27-year civil
war on April 4a, 2002. Throughout the peace process, USAID/OFDA
and USAID/FFP have been at the forefront of providing essential
humanitarian commodities to affected populations throughout
Angola.
