English Language Fellow Program
The English Language Fellow Program sends TEFL professionals abroad
to work in colleges, universities, or language centers. Junior Fellows
serve as full-time classroom teachers for up to 20 hours a week. Senior
Fellows work with and train teachers of EFL and help raise the standard
of English language teaching and learning in the assigned country.
Global Partnership for NGO Studies, Education
and Training
The Global Partnership (GP), is a collaboration between BRAC in Bangladesh
and the School for International Training (SIT) in the United States.
GP offers a Postgraduate Diploma in NGO Leadership and Management and
a corresponding master's degree
that provide rigorous and relevant coursework in NGO leadership and
management.
International Diploma in Language Teaching
Management
Globally recognized graduate-level diploma providing a foundation in
management skills for those who have administrative or management responsibilities
in language teaching organizations. Six-month course involves both face-to-face
and distance study.
Master of Arts in International
Education
Preparation for careers in study abroad and international student services,
advising, and recruitment.
Master of Arts in Social Justice
in Intercultural Relations
Preparation for careers in multicultural organization development, citizen
capacity building, and multinational human resource development.
Master of Arts in Teaching (Academic
Year)
A one-year program with concentrations in English to Speakers of Other
Languages (ESOL), French, and Spanish. Public school certification available.
Master of Arts in Teaching (Summer)
A two-summer format for working professionals with concentrations in
English to Speakers of Other Languages, French, and Spanish.
Peace Corps Master's International Program
Complete SIT's practicum requirement by serving overseas in a two-year
Peace Corps assignment. This unique partnership is available to students
earning an SIT master's degree in Teaching,
Conflict Transformation, International
Education, Social Justice in
Intercultural Relations, Sustainable
Development, Organizational Management,
or the self-designed degree in Intercultural
Service, Leadership, and Management.
SIT Study Abroad
SIT's undergraduate semester-abroad programs in over 40 countries enable
students to deepen their on-campus education through a rigorous integration
of academic and field-based learning. Participants earn credits, develop
essential cross-cultural competencies, and gain a profound understanding
of critical global issues such as conflict transformation, the environment,
and the arts and social change.
SIT TESOL Certificate for English
Language Teachers
Practical training in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Provides tools for teacher reflection and growth as well as daily teaching
sessions. Offered at SIT and host sites.
