TITLE: State Director of Program Services
REPORTS TO: State Director
LOCATION: Edina, MN
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
To develop, market, implement, administer, and oversee all MOD services and programs in the areas of public and professional education, grants, community services, and public affairs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit, train, and support chapter volunteer leaders for all program and public affairs committees.
Develop, implement, and evaluate chapter program activities with volunteer leaders including prematurity campaign, program plan, community grants program and advocacy activities, in conjunction with new Mission Realignment plan.
Create, plan, secure funding for, and implement new programs that support local perinatal needs.
Manage administrative activities of the Program Services Department which includes evaluation of programs, participation on the chapter management team, maintaining department budgets, and completion of reports for regional and national offices.
Collaborate with divisions to develop and implement program services and public affairs activities.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with allied healthcare agencies, government, community groups, and corporations.
Oversee dissemination of educational materials.
Integrate program and public affairs with communications and fundraising to support the mission triangle through staff training, relevant program information, providing input to and participating in chapter events, and co-planning with chapter managers to incorporate the mission in all aspects of chapter activities.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Three to five years experience in maternal and child health, program planning, volunteer development and grants administration.
Bachelor's degree in public health or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience working with diverse communities and organizations.
Experience in managing and developing volunteers.
Extensive knowledge in program planning, evaluation, data analysis, grant review and grant writing.
Excellent organizational, analytic, writing, and speaking skills.
