The SAN ANDREAS FAULT ADVENTURE is an introduction to the San Andreas Fault & the flora, fauna, & natural wonders of the Colorado-Sonoran Desert. Stand on the surface of the San Andreas & learn why California is the earthquake capital of the country; & explore a “desert badlands” landscape in the strange and eerie world of the “SAN ANDREAS FAULT”. You’ll explore the San Andreas Fault’s unique geologic features, called the most tortured landscape on Earth. Your jeep will be dwarfed, as we wind through an intricate maze of steep walled canyons and ravines, testifying vividly to the power of the SAN ANDREAS FAULT and the geological evolution of millions of years. The INDIAN CULTURAL ADVENTURE visits an authentic archeological site right on the San Andreas Fault. Tour a replica of a Cahuilla Indian village & learn how these Native Americans thrived in this region for over 2,000 years, living in a close relationship with the land & deriving all their needs from what Mother Nature had to offer. Marvel at the contrast of a lush natural palm oasis & narrow dry-wash canyons carved by wind & water.

The LOST LEGENDS OF THE WILD WEST ADVENTURE  explores "Faultline, Californy," a replica of the Wild West mining camps that sprang up in the late 1800s. Learn about mining techniques in a walk-through replica of an old mine. Enjoy the colorful local history and legends of a rowdy by-gone era when settlers came here in search of freedom and fortune.

The MYSTERY CANYON ADVENTURE visits the awe inspiring Mystery Canyons, described by geologists as the most tortured landscape on Earth. Thrust up by tectonic collisions and cut into endless mazes by water, these steep walled canyons and ravines document the passage of time with unerring accuracy.

I f you haven’t experienced a desert sunrise or basked in the wonder of its brilliant star and moonlit nights, don’t despair. Desert Adventures, the 16-year old red jeep eco-tour and special events company, will operate two incredible and “cool tours” at great savings, from June 1 – September 30.
The Cool Morning San Andreas Fault Adventures take visitors on a first hand look at the San Andreas Fault – which runs right through the Palm Springs Desert Resorts – as well as the flora, fauna and natural wonders of the Colorado-Sonoran desert. Steep canyons, torturous terrain and geology combine for a perfect desert adventure. Tours depart about 7 a.m., when the summer desert air is fresh and cool. 2 & 3 hour adventures available.
For night owls, the Cool Night Watch Adventure provides guests the best of both worlds, beginning with an exploration of the desert at dusk turning to a nocturnal voyage among surreal shadows and darkness on a cooling desert landscape. Guides bring halogen lamps to light up the canyon walls and the occasional desert animal. Tours depart between 6 and 7 p.m. depending on sunset. 3 hour adventures available
