TITLE: Division Director 1
REPORTS TO: State Director
LOCATION: Birmingham, AL
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
Director will be responsible for management and execution of all fund-raising events for the North Central Division, based in Birmingham, Alabama, including recruitment and development of volunteers and obtaining sponsorship; supervise three Community Directors; recruit and develop Division Board members and event volunteers. Assist in developing Community Councils.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, plan and execute fund-raising activities to reach goals and maintain expenses
- Recruit and train volunteer leaders for fund-raising events
- Recruit visible community leaders for Division Board
- Supervise division staff
- Secure sponsorship for fund-raising activities
- Develop and sustain strong corporate relations in community
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent desired
- 2-5 years experience in fund-raising or related field
- Excellent fund-raising and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong background in volunteer recruitment and development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
