Partner Categories -- Content Partners

Content partners offer business-related content or Web services that complement SAP solutions. Web services are published in a Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) registry, if applicable.

Seamlessly integrating partner content or Web services with SAP software increases the scope and value of an SAP solution. Since becoming a content partner requires SAP certification, customers can be sure of receiving complete, technically verified interfaces to partner content. They benefit from reduced implementation overhead and can be sure that their investment is secure.

Interface Certification

SAP offers an interface certification program that enables third-party vendors to integrate their software with SAP solutions. As part of certification, content providers submit their interfaces to an Integration & Certification Center (ICC) for consulting and testing against standard SAP integration scenarios. After completing the certification process successfully, content providers receive the right to use the SAP tag line "SAP® Certified Integration" and an SAP Interface Certificate that documents the test environment.

Interface certification is not required if interoperability depends on other conditions, such as compliance with a specific standard (for example, e-learning content providers whose content is stored in Web content management systems). In these cases, a certificate from the appropriate authority stating compliance is required (for example, ADL for SCORM compliance).

Partnership Levels

Content partnerships are available at these levels:

  • SAP Partner - Content -- These partners offer content or Web services with proven interoperability with an SAP solution, or proven compliance with a technical standard. To become a content partner, a company must complete a qualification process. Partners must, where appropriate, have a certified interface to an SAP solution. Qualification is available through ICCs.
  • SAP Alliance Partner - Content -- This partnership level is limited to select companies that are highly committed to SAP solutions. As such, this level is reserved for market leaders that provide high-quality content in an area that adds significant value to an SAP solution. Alliance level partnership is offered by invitation only.

For more information about participation, see SAP Partner Membership Levels.
