ELECTRONICS/BINOCULARS
Brunton. Brunton President John Smithbaker showed
us a couple new products from Brunton. When you're exploring,
a good quality pair of binoculars is essential to get a close
look at what nature has to offer. Brunton's new Eterna Compact
binoculars provide your choice of either 8 x 25 or 10 x 25 with
focus up to 6-8 feet. They are waterproof, fog proof, and weigh
only 12 ozs.
Brunton also announced their new Multi-Navigator System that combines
the latest GPS technology with all the advantages of a built-in
digital magnetic compass, an altimeter, and a barometer for local
weather forecasting. Designed to withstand the most extreme weather
conditions, the compass function works independently of the GPS
function providing amazing battery conservation, giving you weeks
worth of battery power rather than hours. It also has a one-button
function that allows the user to use a bearing to get back to
the starting position.
GeoDiscovery. GeoDiscovery announced the new "Geode"
that integrates Internet and Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.
Some of the functions of the Geode include: fast, interactive
vector maps with content linked to points of interest; the latest

compass for accurate directions, even when you're standing still
or have no GPS coverage; integration with Palm Computing Platform

removable memory card slots each capable of holding up to 64 MB
of map data and content; provides adventure travelers with the

for guys, Swiss Army is coming out with smaller designs for gals.
According to Wendie Demuth, Swiss Army is one of the most recognized
