California
The California World Learning for Business Training Center is located in San Carlos. San Carlos is strategically located between San Jose (35 minutes to the south) and San Francisco (30 minutes to the north). The San Francisco International Airport is 15 minutes by car.

Our Training Center is located in the state-of-the-art San Carlos Public Library and our immersion trainees have access to:

  • Fully equipped training rooms
  • High speed internet access
  • The Library's extensive reference and periodical collection
  • Comfortable study and meeting areas
  • Downtown San Carlos just two blocks away with plentiful restaurants, shops and services

San Francisco Bay Area is home to plentiful recreational cultural activities including:

  • The San Francisco Symphony, Opera and Ballet companies
  • The new San Francisco Museum of Modern Art-centerpiece of the Yerba Buena Gardens Arts and Cultural Center
  • Professional sports teams including the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A's baseball teams, the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders football teams, as wells as professional basketball, hockey and soccer.
  • Sausalito and Muir Woods - a short drive across the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge.
  • Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley.

Housing for immersion trainees is available at a wide range of nearby hotels and suite hotels, some within walking distance. Homestays can also be arranged with carefully selected host families who provide a private room, shared bath, and breakfast and dinner each day as well as many opportunities for communication and learning about family life in the U.S.

Vermont
The World Learning for Business Training Center in Vermont is an independent facility in close proximity to The School for International Training (SIT) campus in Brattleboro, a mid-sized town on the Connecticut River surrounded by scenic hills and forests.  Brattleboro is two hours by land from Boston, three and a half hours from New York City, and four hours from Montreal.    Airport transportation is available to and from the Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, which is the main point of access for participants coming to Brattleboro.

At the Training Center or on the SIT campus, immersion participants will have access to:

  • Fully equipped training rooms
  • High-speed internet access
  • Comfortable study and meeting areas
  • Modern campus facilities including computer and multimedia centers, library, dining hall, medical center, coffee house, and bookstore
  • Swimming pool, fitness machines, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi at a local spa
  • Students and faculty at the School for International Training, a leader in intercultural management, language instruction, world issues, and international educational exchange

There are abundant activities and resources available in the Brattleboro, Vermont area, including:

  • Excellent restaurants and cafes offering  a wide variety of cuisines
  • Shopping at specialty bookstores, music shops, sporting goods and producers of renowned homemade chocolate, beer and baked goods
  • Cultural opportunities such as the Marlboro Music Festival, Windham Orchestra performances, jazz cafes, Stratton Arts festival, galleries, museums, films and year-round theater
  • Unique crafts and antique shops located in picture-perfect villages throughout the area
  • Outdoor recreational activities like golf, tennis, skiing, skating, swimming, hiking, canoeing, bicycling, kayaking, and horseback riding
  • Headquarters of regional, national, and international businesses based in the area
  • Dartmouth College, Smith College, the University of Massachusetts, and many other colleges and universities in the vicinity

Accommodations for immersion participants are available at good local hotels in a variety of price ranges for both regular rooms and executive suites.  Rooms in SIT campus dormitories with a meal plan at the dining hall are also an option, or Homestays can be arranged with carefully selected host families who provide private room, shared bath, breakfast and dinner each day.
