Teaching your kids about online security will serve them well for the rest of their lives. For younger children, Dewie is always a good role-model to point to. As the FTC puts it, "Dewie's wired, but carries his security shell no matter what he's doing on the Internet. Even though turtles take their time, Dewie crosses the finish line first because he takes the appropriate steps to avoid a disaster." A good way to get kids thinking about security is to take a cybersecurity quiz together. The FTC has a fun (thanks to Dewie) quiz you and your children can take together.
Cybersecurity Posters Made By Kids
The National Cyber Security Alliance is hosting a contest for the best posters illustrating one or more of the do's and don'ts for Internet security. Your kids will learn a little bit about cyber-security and have fun doing it. You can also download the posters of past winners and have your kids color them in (unless you have a color printer, that is).
