A few of our favorite tours and attractions . . .

Perched on top of Cerro del Crestón, at 505 feet, this is the tallest, natural, operating lighthouse in the world. The 30-minute climb to the top is a challenge, but well worth it. (Don’t forget to pack water with you.) The 360° views of the harbor, Pacific ocean and Old Mazatlán will take your breath away!

One of the largest and finest aquariums in Latin America. Over 50 salt and freshwater tanks with over 250 exotic marine species. Sea lion and exotic bird shows daily, plus a neighboring botanical garden and small zoo. Open 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. daily.

Touring this magnificent 19th-century city is a must. Enjoy over 20 historic blocks of Spanish Colonial architecture, much of it awash in charming, pastel colors. The main square, Plaza Revolución, is home to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, stylistically eclectic and striking edifice, with twin, gold-and-blue spires and a dramatic, gilded triple alter within.
A few blocks to the south is the Plaza Machado. This small square begs a leisurely stroll past its many sidewalk cafés and restored buildings and mansions. It is here you will also find Mazatlán’s oldest theater, Teatro Angela Peralta. Originally built in 1860, this architectural jewel fell into ruin over the years, but has recently been restored to it’s magnificent, European-style grandeur. There’s also an Archaeological Museum hosting an outstanding collection of hundreds of Pre-Columbian relics.

Stroll for hours along this palm-lined, ocean promenade. This boardwalkconnects the Zona Dorada (Golden Zone) to Old Mazatlán and is one of Mazatlán’s prettiest walkways. A walk at sunset is real treat!

Sample the local culture of Mazatlán all under one roof! Located in the heart of downtown, el mercado features alleys of fresh seafood, meats, poultry, fruits and vegetables. Some of the best shopping for souvenirs, arts and crafts, with vendors selling fine silver, leather goods, t-shirts, blankets, pottery, and some of the best vanilla in Mexico

A catamaran, trimaran or small yacht will sail you around the bay to unspoiled beaches filled with palm trees and "south seas" atmosphere. Its tropical dry jungles are the protected habitat of armadillos, iguanas, raccoons, pelicans and wild heron. Excellent Golf can also be found here.

Each of these islands just offshore Mazatlán’s mainland has their own distinct personality. Isla de los Pájaros (Island of Birds) is a nesting ground for hundreds of birds, with prime birdwatching. Isla de los Venados (Deer Island) and Isla de los Chivos (Goat Island) are both tranquil and unspoiled, with excellent snorkeling and sea kayaking. Boat taxis and cruises can be arranged through our Tour Desk.

Experience an authentic bull fight in the grand Mazatlán arena. Running Christmas through Easter. Rodeos are often held in the off-season. Mazatlán also boasts a Triple A baseball team that plays October through January.

Visit these quaint mining villages nestled in Mazatlán’s scenic, Sierra Madre foothills, birthplace of the gold and silver rush of the 1500s. You’ll step back into time touring these two endearing hamlets. Founded in 1565, Concordia was once a French garrison and is famous for its hand-crafted wooden furniture. Copala, with its flower-filled patios and red-tiled roofs, maintains a 400-year-old church in its town square. Wander cobblestone streets and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of these 16th-century country villages.
