The FSOB, “For Sale By Owner,” method of selling homes gained popularity during the last several years when Chicago real estate was red hot, and properties were selling in a couple of weeks or less. Chicago property values were rising quickly and the overall tone of the market was very good.
Today, however, the Chicago
real estate market has slowed down a bit. We are returning
to the days of a “normal” market when homes are on the market
for longer periods of time and only those properties “priced
to sell” move quickly. The seller selling his home FSBO
(For Sale By Owner) may have a bit more difficult time now,
selling his or her Chicago area home quickly, unassisted.
Most Realtors will not show their clients FSBO properties
because they will not be paid for their services. Again,
in this “normal” market, the FSBO seller may be at a disadvantage.
Chicago Real Estate can give the cooperating FSBO (For Sale By Owner) seller the added edge in selling quickly. We will do our best to match buyers to your home, condo, loft or townhouse if it is the appropriate property, priced right, for our clients, the buyers. As buyers Agents, we represent our clients the buyers, exclusively and are duty bound to find the best Chicago Area property, at the best price and terms for them.
