ORDERING A LICENCE ONLINE

• BUYING ONLINE: This can take up to 3 normal working days to process (allow 5 days  if ordered on a Friday, weekend or an Irish bank holiday), if your trip requires more urgent delivery you can obtain a salmon  licence or fishing permit from our distributors located throughout the region. If you are a visitor from overseas, we provide you with an option during the ordering process to set your delivery address as your angling holiday destination e.g. Your Name, C/O your B&B/Hotel/Angling Centre and the forwarding address. This will help speed up delivery time as it will incur postal delays sending to overseas destinations (allow about 10 days for normal air mail postal delivery to EU states and a little longer for other overseas destinations).

• LOCAL AGENTS: If delivery time is a factor for you, you can opt to purchase and pick up your licence or permit from one of our Agents in the region. SALMON & SEA TROUT FISHING

• Anglers can order and pay for a SALMON and SEA TROUT fishing licence online which is required to fish in the 7 Regional Fisheries boards in Ireland. A logbook and tags are also issued with this licence.

• An ALL DISTRICT SALMON LICENCE  will cover all Salmon and Sea trout rivers in the Republic of Ireland.

• A DISTRICT ONLY licence will cover all salmon and sea trout rivers in the the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board area  SEE MAP

TROUT COARSE AND PIKE FISHING MIDLAND FISHERIES GROUP

• Anglers can order and pay for a FISHING PERMIT (ticket charge) which is required to fish for TROUT or COARSE FISH/PIKE on the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board MIDLAND FISHERIES GROUP of controlled waters SEE LOCATION MAP OF THESE FISHERIES which are presented in five main catchments including Lickeen Lake in Co Clare, They are      RIVER SUCK CATCHMENT      RIVER INNY CATCHMENT      RIVER BROSNA CATCHMENT      RIVER LITTLE BROSNA CATCHMENT      LICKEEN LAKE CO CLARE     CAMLIN RIVER.

FISHERIES REGULATIONS & THE LAW

• LEGAL REQUIREMENT: Please note, in the case of salmon and sea trout fishing you are legally obliged to be in possession of your Licence, Logbook and tags or your Shannon Regional Fisheries Board Fishing Permit when fishing in the controlled waters for trout/coarse fish/pike, always have your appropriate documentation available for inspection by Board staff.

• TERMS AND CONDITIONS : The person named on the licence, and no other will be authorised to fish during the period covered. The licence or permit holder is subject to the close seasons and other regulations pertaining in law and permission of the fishery owner. Open seasons vary for all fisheries so it is important that you check prior to ordering that you will be fishing within the season in the case of salmon and trout.
