As President of The Venetian and Senior Vice President of Las Vegas Sands, Inc. (LVSI), Rob Goldstein oversees the daily operations of the resort, hotel and casino. Under his leadership, The Venetian has become internationally recognized as a leading destination resort, recently receiving top honors as one of the world's best resorts by Travel & Leisure Magazine.

Since joining LVSI in 1995, Mr. Goldstein has been instrumental in attracting premier retailers, restaurateurs, entertainment venues and a world-class spa to The Venetian and continues to do so with the current expansion of the resort.

Most recently, a collaboration orchestrated by Mr. Goldstein was named "The Deal of the Year" by In Business Las Vegas Magazine. He played a key role in the partnership between The Venetian and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the State Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg. The Guggenheim will open two very distinct museum spaces in Fall 2001, both designed by Rem Koolhaas. The 63,700 square foot Guggenheim Las Vegas will premiere with the internationally acclaimed "Art of the Motorcycle" exhibit designed by famed architect Frank Gehry. The 7,660 square foot Guggenheim Hermitage Museum is set to open with 45 masterpieces from the Impressionist and Early Modern era, some never before seen in the United States.

Before joining LVSI, Mr. Goldstein spent 15 years developing casino-hotels in the U.S. and the Caribbean. In 1981, Mr. Goldstein joined the Sands in Atlantic City as Director of Casino Marketing, earning a series of promotions and ultimately becoming Vice President of Marketing and Executive Vice President. He also served as Executive Vice President of Pratt Hotel Corporation before joining LVSI in his current capacity.

Mr. Goldstein is a 1977 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a 1980 graduate of the Temple University School of Law.

Mr. Goldstein enjoys playing tennis and golf in his spare time. He is happily married to his wife Sheryl and they are the parents of Scott (17) and Courtney (14).
