Why can't I connect the the FXTrade Platform?

The steps listed in our login troubleshooting guide should be able to solve 99% of the connection related issues that occur.

The FXTrade platform freezes when the little window appears. It comes to XX% (usually 18%, 33% or 78%) loading and stops.

Your browser cache may be corrupted. Please follow our instructions on how to clear your cache.

Alternatively, if you are using Microsoft Windows and are running Internet Explorer, your may have an old version of Java which may need to be upgraded. Please visit Windows Update and install any Java related items that are available.

Why does the loading pop-up not appear when I try to log in?

This problem will occur if Javascript is disabled or if you have pop-up blocking software intstalled. To see if Javascript is enabled, please try our Javascript test. If you have pop-up blocking software installed, you will need to disable it, or allow the OANDA.COM domain to open pop-ups.

My username and password are accepted, and the loading pop-up appears, but I get a "broken image" graphic where the loading bar should be.

It is likely that Java is disabled or not installed. Please look at our instructions on how to enable Java.

When I log in I get a message telling me to disable the Java 1.3 plugin, but nothing works if I disable it. What should I do?

We recommend the Sun Microsystems Java 1.4 Plug-in.

How do I enlarge the graph to full-screen?

Open a new graph window by clicking on a currency pair in the "Current Rates" list. Then hit the full screen button on the top right corner of the window.

Can I print the charts and tables?

Unfortunately it is not possible to print from the FXTrade platform at this time. The best option for Microsoft Windows users is to take a Screen Capture by pressing ALT-PrintScreen and pasting the image into a program such as MS Word, MS WordPad or MS Paint.

How do I clear my Java cache?
