SPEAK UP™ joins
World Learning for Business

SPEAK UP™ English for Business has been providing performance-based training to San Francisco Bay Area business professionals since 1995. By 2000, our reputation and success in helping employees close communication gaps in their work performance inspired our clients to ask for our programs nationwide.

To meet this challenge, SPEAK UP™ needed to expand. Our search for the right partner led us to World Learning, a global communications leader since 1932. SPEAK UP™ joined World Learning in July of 2000 and can now promise expanded capacity on-site at many U.S. locations, as well as additional ways to learn via distance coaching.

With headquarters in Brattleboro, Vermont, World Learning for Business offers global enterprises a single source for personalized, competency-based language and intercultural training. In addition to business communication, World Learning for Business offers training in English and every major language of today's business world, including Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, French, Russian, Japanese, and Arabic.

The World Learning for Business' team has over two decades of experience designing and delivering customized language and intercultural training programs for multinational organizations including Hewlett Packard, LSI Logic, Citibank, Procter & Gamble, and Exxon Mobil Corporation.

SPEAK UP™ will continue to offer the same high quality training for technical professionals, but with increased capacity and expanded features. Additional services now include:

• residency immersion programs in San Carlos, California, and Brattleboro, Vermont
• on-site training in a growing number of U.S. cities, including Miami, Florida, and Houston, Texas
• web-based training and distance learning

Michal Commanday, founding partner of SPEAK UP™, and Cindy Ochoa, Account Manager, will continue to develop SPEAK UP™ - World Learning for Business corporate programs from the California offices.
