Story Hours
Join celebrated educators and local leaders for a morning story hour each fourth Saturday of the month during the exhibition at Garfield Park Conservatory.

Chapungu Scavenger Hunt
Search among the exciting African sculptures of Chapungu throughout the Conservatory grounds. A prize will be given to the successful hunters.

African Leaf Rubbing
Choose leaves from a variety of African plants to make a beautiful leaf rubbing, and take home your creation.

Mask Making
Come and learn about African masks and the stories behind them. Make your own mask to take home.

Shekere Making
The whole family can try their hand at percussion instruments from Africa. Make your own shekere out of a real gourd to take home (for a small materials fee, first 100 people).
