What Is A Corporate Identity?

The impression The Venetian® and Grand Canal Shoppes make on clients, customers and guests depends not only on sales and service, but also on the look and feel of business communications, advertising, signage and visual media.

Every day, whether designing an advertisement or giving a presentation, we contribute towards positioning The Venetian® and Grand Canal Shoppes’ image all over the world. In the context of global markets and increased local competition, the strength of identity is a deciding factor in our continued success.

Why Is The Venetian’s Identity So Important?

The Venetian® and Grand Canal Shoppes are continuing to develop a reputation for quality service, innovation in the gaming, entertainment and retail markets as well as a consistent image among patrons and the public.

For the identity to be credible, it must be consistently applied in every one of our markets. Each of us is therefore responsible for ensuring that the directives and recommendations in this graphic standards guide are observed.

A Practical, Indispensable Tool

This graphic standards guide encompasses the key design elements for all communication tools involving The Venetian® and Grand Canal Shoppes logos and type faces to be used in visual media. Systematically applying the principles and recommendations in this manual will reinforce The Venetian’s unique identity throughout the world.

What Is The Scope Of This Guide?

This guide has been designed as a practical and user-friendly tool. It is not intended as an exhaustive document covering all possible identity uses. It only covers possible applications of The Venetian® and Grand Canal Shoppes logo elements. It therefore does not include:

• Department Publications
• Brochures
• Press Kits
• Letterhead
• Promotional Items

Logo Elements

As of the year 2001, The Venetian® has registered its logo and encompassing elements, and it is critical that any and all future and current logo usage be updated with the registered logos contained within this guide. Each element of these logos is critical to strengthening our identity and cannot be altered in any way.

DO NOT make changes or revisions to the logos and or design elements presented here. Every visual presentation of The Venetian® or Grand Canal Shoppes logos must contain an unaltered file from this guide.

It is essential that The Venetian® or Grand Canal Shoppes logos and type faces be consistent in color, form and registration on all communications media and tools worldwide.

Internal & External Publications

Graphic guidelines on layout of internal and external publications, such as product brochures and print collateral must be reviewed by both agency department heads and The Venetian® prior to entering the production stage. Promotional items and branded office supplies should carry exact logos and type faces outlined in this guide. Placement and layout must be submitted to the proper management for prior approval.

Regional & Group Communications

Visual communications you are planning to produce may include logos or typefaces which may be in the process of being developed or may already exist in another location. It is therefore critical, when initiating projects, to reference this guide for updated, registered versions of The Venetian® or Grand Canal Shoppes logos and/or fonts.
