By giving a donation to SOAR animal shelter, you will be helping a wonderful animal have a better life. While we try to find loving homes for all our dogs and cats, some animals stay with us for some time before becoming adopted, fostered, or sponsored. As such, the daily care and feeding of the animal is made possible by caring people like you who donate to the SOAR family.

Monetary Donations

We need cash donations, especially for constant medical bills, cages, and our spaying and neutering program. There are no grants or foundations for support, therefore we depend entirely on donations. ALL gifts are tax deductible and 100% of all contributions go to the animals.

We have a membership program as follows:

Friend - $100 - $249
Member - $250 - $499
Contributor - $500 - $999
Sponsor - $1,000 - $2,499
Patron - $2,500 - $4,999
Benefactor - $5,000 and more

Our members soon will be recognized on our website and in our newsletters. This is long overdue. Many people and organizations have donated lots of money and donated time and time again and SOAR has a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid or adequately expressed. But we can, and soon will, recognize these people in the most public of forums that we can.

Think what your monetary donation could do:

$25 would pay for litter for the cattery for one day.
$30 could buy one small dog house.
$50 could buy one large dog house.
$50 would by the gasoline needed for one week of errands.
$55 could pay for 25 necessary shots. (Administered by SOAR)
$55 would take care of neutering or spaying one cat.
$60 would pay for the postage for one mailing.
$85 would take care of neutering or spaying one dog.
$500 would endow a dog pen for one year.
$300 would provide for one 10' by 10' dog run.
$600 would provide for one 10' by 20' dog run.

Additionally, you can specify if you want your donation to be used for a particular purpose. Maybe you are a 'dog' person and want your donation to be used to benefit our dogs. If so you can so stipulate.

You can also give in the memory of a special person or pet.

Be sure that when you make a donation we receive your name and address.

Non-Monetary Donations

There are many things of a non-monetary nature that can be donated to SOAR. Right now we have a need for the following:

blankets, pillows, and towels (new or used)
building materials (plywood, 4x4's, 2x8x10's PT, nails, screws, and hooks)
screening or fencing for runs
cleaning supplies
litter boxes
cat litter
metal food / water bowls
collars of all sizes
leashes and gentle leaders
animal toys (new or used)
a van for transporting animals

Non-monetary donations are also 100% tax deductible.
