DSL is faster than a standard dial-up connection so you can use bandwidth-intensive applications like streaming audio and video, online games, and video-conferencing. Because DSL uses existing phone lines to deliver high-speed service, the cost is only incrementally higher than that of dial-up, and much less than a T-1.
