Procurement Home
The Department of Health and Social Services' procurement offices
are located in Juneau and Anchorage. These units purchase a wide range
of products and services in accordance with the State Procurement
Law. Additional functions include property management, facilities
management in over 70 locations and mailroom services. Last year,
the section's purchasing power topped the $140,000,000 mark and the
mailroom processed nearly a million pieces of mail. These two procurement
offices staff only ten people; yet their service area covers all of
Alaska's 570,833 square miles.
