We got a 5:00 AM start to the CO buoy and caught a few aku and ahi there. Then we went up and out to 19 miles where we found a small net that was holding mahi and ono. We trolled a few up and then Scot baited up a bunch more. The biggest one got cut off at the swivel by an ono. So we trolled again and caught 9 small Onos. Then we baited again and got 2 mahis and a 15 pound ahi. The mahi ranged from 15 to 30 pounds, and we ended up with 11 of them. Back in the harbor after this mostly flat day I had no problem getting both Richards to eat eyeballs with me. It was a real fun day of fishing, they did great. Aloha Capt. Rusty

We got a 5:00 AM start to the X buoy and caught a bunch of small baits there. Then we went out deep, out to 32 miles on this flat as a pancake day and found nothing at all. On our way in we took a slam in the blind 3 miles off Sunset Beach and Michael landed a nice 28 pound mahi. We then baited the traps for a shark but none showed up. Aloha Capt. Rusty
