We specialise in booking 2-5 star hotel accommodation throughout Britain for the leisure traveller. We hold through our partner Superbreaks allocations of rooms at all hotels and we can book up to and including the day of departure. back to top of page Where are you based? Both ourselves and our partner Superbreaks are based in the Tourist City of York and Superbreak's office has some of the most magnificent views of York Minster. Our team of over 100 is here to help. back to top of page Do you have a brochure? Yes Superbreaks do have a 100-page brochure that is distributed to all travel agents in the U.K. This website does however show all hotels featured in the brochure and is electronically updated to bring you the latest prices. back to top of page How do I receive my documents? You will receive confirmation via email straight away and all relevant documents by post within a few days. There is no danger of your documents not arriving on time but if you wanted you could simply cal our offices using the number on the confirmation email or via our website. back to top of page Can I book at short notice? Yes! You can even book on the day of travel. For same day reservations please call our helpdesk on +44 (0) 1904 620033 back to top of page Do I pay a booking fee? No We also guarantee not to change the price after your booking has been confirmed. back to top of page What if I need to cancel? A charge of 20% is made to cover administration charges provided you cancel up to the day before travel. Cancellations on the day incur 100% charges as we guarantee your room for late arrival. Theatre inclusive bookings incur 100% charges from the confirmation of the booking. back to top of page What if I am arriving late at the hotel? Your booking is guaranteed for late arrival but it is always worth calling the hotel to advise them if you are going to be very late. At some of the smaller hotels you may have the owner waiting up for you! back to top of page What can I expect for dinner when it is included in the price? Dinner is normally 3 course based on a Table D'hote menu i.e. a selection of meals of the day. A La Carte meals will also be available but a supplement would then probably apply. All our hotels will offer a vegetarian meal but the choice may be restricted. Any special dietary requirements should be advised at time of booking. back to top of page What room types are available? Hotels in the UK offer single, double (i.e. 1 double bed) and twin (2 single beds) bedrooms. Family rooms for three or four are generally available and these are normally either twin or double rooms with extra child or sofa beds. It is rare for hotels to offer rooms to accommodate either 3 or 4 adults. back to top of page What is a Midweek single supplement? All our prices show the price of sharing a twin or double room. Single supplements are applied by hotels to reflect the price they charge for a single room and should be added to the half twin price. Midweek is Monday to Thursday inclusive. Some hotels alternatively charge week-round single supplements. So if you want a single at a weekend look for hotels that only charge midweek. back to top of page Do I get a larger room if I pay the single supplement? Unfortunately not. The price charged is for a single room although some hotels do allocate larger rooms for the same rate. back to top of page Children are travelling in our party do we get a discount? Yes Normally children are free if sharing with 2 adults or half price in their own room. Free children do not have meals included and these must be paid for at the hotel. back to top of page Why is full payment taken at the time of booking? Full payment is taken at the time of booking in order to guarantee your room against the price you booked at, and to ensure the room is kept for you in the event of a late arrival. As a third party (tour operator) Superbreak also guarantees full payment to the hotel. back to top of page How do I get to the hotel? The hotel, address and telephone number will be provided on screen after your confirmation of the booking. This information will also be provided on the email and postal confirmation that will be sent to you. Each UK hotel entry has a printable map to assist in planning your route. Maps for European hotels are not currently available, but will be added to the site in the near future. back to top of page What's included in the price? A complete price breakdown can be obtained by clicking the "confirm cost" button after checking availability of your chosen hotel. All prices include service and VAT. back to top of page Can you arrange wedding receptions? Unfortunately no, these must be organised and arranged with the hotel directly. back to top of page What if I need to change my reservation? An administration charge of £15.00 will be made each time the booking is amended, unless the value of the booking increases. A 100% charge will be made for amendments made on the day of travel. Theatre inclusive bookings incur 100% charges from the confirmation of the booking. back to top of page What if I need special facilities during my stay? If you have any special needs please contact our helpdesk on +44 (0) 1904 620033 or email admin@superbreak.com before making a booking. The helpdesk will then make the booking for you and pass on any special requirements to the hotel for the likes of; wheelchair accessible rooms, non-feather bedding and special dietary needs. back to top of page Are my credit card details secure? Yes. - Superbreak uses a secure server to encrypt and protect all communication of personal details and credit card information between yourself and Superbreak.
