 -(f)-first class hotel
In the 18th century, Fredrik Reiss opened a coffee house for ships docking at the outlet of Stockholm. Today's relaxation section is situated in the hotel. Reisen’s bar and dining overlooking Strömmen, where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea, serves seasonal Swedish contemporary specialities under the management of Stefan Bjur. The banquet room Per Brahe with a beautiful salon en suite caters for dinner parties in the style of the a la carte restaurant. Per Brahe can seat up to 22 people. The steamship Per Brahe, constructed in 1908, ran between Stockholm and Åbo in the 1950’s. The ship used to moor alongside the quay opposite the Hotel Reisen. In 1955 when the steamship was scrapped, the ship dining-room and ladie’s parlour was salvaged and turned into a conference room seating up to 22 people. Banquets and private dinners may be booked by the reservation service. Downstairs, beneath beautiful cross vaults from the 1690´s you will find the sauna and plunge pool. In these vaults, parts of the old city wall are preserved. One part of the sauna and pool can be reserved for private parties up to12 persons. During the summer you may also rent a bike and explore the city. The hotel can also help to reserve sightseeing-tickets for city trips. International Airport is located 42 km from the city centre.
