Executive Producer
DEPARTMENT: NEWS POSITION: EXECUTIVE PRODUCER REPORTS TO: NEWS DIRECTOR HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK POSTING DATE: OCTOBER 6, 2003 (POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED) This is a full-time, regular, non-union, exempt position. QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have 5 years steady work experience producing newscasts
· Must demonstrate strength of graphics and a pro-active approach to improving newscasts
· Must be enterprising, resourceful and detail oriented
· Direct knowledge and understanding of the elements involved in the production of a daily newscast including editorial decisions, writing, video editing and studio production
· Knowledge of Avid computer operations helpful RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervise, direct, schedule and coordinate the preparation for and production of news programs and materials aired in conjunction with news department activities
· Work with producers, writers, assignment desk, production assistants, graphic design and operations/engineering staff to coordinate newscast content, style, etc
