Facilities Coordinator
Position available in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
Facilities: Establish vendor contracts for services, including mechanical,
electrical and plumbing maintenance, life safety, janitorial service and
supplies, beverages and snacks, and others. Conduct orientation of new hires
regarding office procedures and facilities. Coordinate employee change in
workstation location. Assist in developing and implementing office standards
for this and other offices to follow. Order and stock standardized list of
office and mailroom supplies; assist in requests for purchasing office
supplies. Assist in maintaining the professional appearance of conference
rooms. Coordinate vendors and/or stock kitchen with appropriate paper products,
beverages and snacks. Track daily department accounting and reporting.
Reception: Provide a dynamic front line. Answer and direct all calls in an
efficient, accurate, professional and pleasant manner. Greet and assist all
visitors.
Mail services: Sort and distribute all mail and deliveries, including preparing
and sending mail and deliveries. Verify receipt of all deliveries prior to
signing vendor delivery tickets/logs.
Safety and Security: Function as after-hours contact for alarm monitoring
company. Assist with overall office health, safety and security. Establish and
maintain emergency response plan and procedures.
Human Resource Services: Point of contact for local staff, acting as liaison to
HR representatives at headquarters. Assist HR in administration of employment
contracts. Assist in coordination and organization of corporate events.
Purchasing: Obtain vendor price quotes, prepare purchase, obtain vendor
statements of work, and arrange for new vendor setup.
Requirements:

- Experience: 1-3 years related experience.

Security Manager
Google is seeking an enthusiastic Security Manager, who will focus on creative ways to aide in the management of a growing physical security department. This innovative person should be focused to excel through traditional physical security protocol and parameters, while managing and implementing World Class security standards.

- Manages all aspects of Physical Security.
- Responsible for the administrative supervision of the security organization.

Facilities Services Manager

We're looking for bright, experienced, energetic individuals willing to apply
their creativity and skill to keeping the Googleplex and our international
offices up and running. As the Services Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day
management of the cafe and fitness center as well as catering and other
services that Google provides to its employees. To be successful in this
position, you must be willing to roll up your sleeves and jump in!
Responsibilities:
- Manage up to 15 direct reports.
- Manage corporate services including café/dining facility, gym/spa services
& programs, sports & health services, concierge and support services.
- Coordinate special event requests including catering and entertainment as
requested.
- Monitor office expenses using spreadsheets and provide input to budget
planning.
- Streamline workflow and reduce process redundancy.
- Conduct orientation of new hires, mentoring, and growth & development of staff.
Requirements and Skills:
- BA/BS degree
- 5-7+ years related experience in the hospitality industry preferred with 2+
years in a management role. Also considering event planning or similar
corporate facilities experience.
- Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast-paced office
environment.
- Attention to detail and costs.
- Ability to interact with all members within the company, regular interaction
with vendors.
- Dependable and flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and creativity.
- Responsiveness to customer requests/service issues.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Effectively use Excel, Word, and email.
