  The Mail Bag

Posted: Monday December  01, 2003

Send me your point of view or any question you have about the Asia/Pacific region and other areas we sell accommodation in so that we may share your views with other travellers.
We value your feedback. Help us make your holiday the absolute best!
(Note: If you would prefer to keep your comments/questions to yourself, you are welcome to do so and I'll answer you by return email)

I have just returned from Thailand...

I have just returned from Thailand, where my daughter and I stayed at the Baiyoke Sky and Rama Gardens in Bangkok, and also at the Chiang Mai Plaza, in Chiang Mai. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at all of the hotels, our room was excellent, the service outstanding and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. It is sad to say that this is not always something which can be found at hotels in other parts of the world.

Peter Gardner

We are thrilled that you both had an enjoyable holiday in the land of smiles. Thanks you so much for getting back to us with your comments. Working as we do, on-line, servicing clients we never get to meet in person, it is great knowing when we have succeeded in our mission, and even better knowing you’ll be back.

Thanks for the great article on the Maldives...

Thanks for the great article on the Maldives, regarding travelling with children, that appeared in your November Tangent e-Zine. We were in a similar predicament and this certainly helped give us some great travel ideas for the kids. Thanks Hotel Travel for being so aware and geared to travellers on a truly helpful scale.

Tarkia and Monty Finn, New Zealand

Travelling with children isn't always the easiest and is something we at Hotel Travel Network try to cater for with entertainment suggestions and other travel advice that help make a holiday with the whole family an exciting affair no matter where you wish to visit. We are pleased you found the information useful.

I am delighted that you now operate with hotels in India...

I am delighted that you now operate with hotels in India. I used your service for Thailand last year and was very pleased with the service provided. This year I have been able to book a hotel in Bombay. May I suggest you try to establish something with Dubai/the Gulf countries since many flights UK-Asia often have stopovers there.

Kunee Patel, Belgium

Don't worry, eventually we will include Dubai on our web pages...it just takes time. In fact we intend going global eventually so there won't be a single country you can't utilize our services for. We are pleased you find our on-line hotel booking useful and look forward to seeing your name on our guest list more often.

I have a complaint about your service.

I have a complaint about your service. All the staff that we dealt with when booking our accommodation in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, were brilliant, and the information they supplied, spot on...our only complaint is that your staff didn't tell us how wonderful these countries are and that our one month vacation wasn't long enough to really discover them, so we'll have to return next year.

Hooked, Montreal

Like many who visit for the first time, visitors soon realise there is so much to see and experience in this part of the world that a return visit is a must. Often this return visit becomes a regular occurrence and all 3 countries receive repeat visitors on a regular basis. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to being of assistance to you in the future. Complaints like yours are exactly the type we like to get.

Are there any beachfront hotels in Perth?

Are there any beachfront hotels in Perth that you can recommend for our anniversary holiday there in February? Most hotels on your list seem to be in the city or a fair way from the beach.

Hennie Prinsloo, Zimbabwe

There are few hotels anywhere along the Perth/Fremantle coastline as there are bans on high rise buildings being built anywhere along the beachfront. However there is one, the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel that was built for the America's Cup Regatta that should suit you perfectly.

Do you have a list of the top 5 things to do in Sydney?

Do you have a list of the top 5 things to do in Sydney? We will only be able to visit for a week and would like to see and do the most interesting things we can while there.

Beebee Wilson, Kansas

We can do better than that as our web site lists the Top 10 Things to do in each city/country we sell accommodation in and Sydney is one of them. For more information please go to our Top 10 page for the city, by clicking here.

Takashi Yu, Japan
