Fishing Calendar
Trophy chinook  July-Sept

These west coast waters are teeming with wild-life. A typical day fishing would include viewing black bears, sea lions, a wide variety of sea birds, eagles and many gray whales adding to the adventure of a west coast fishing trip.

We pursue trophy class salmon as they migrate down the west coast of Vancouver Island. We have a vast fishing area from the inside waters of Nootka Sound to the open ocean off Friendly Cove and as far north as Esperanza Inlet.

Chinook salmon fishing is often combined with open ocean bottom fishing. An angler can expect to catch big red snapper (yellow eye), ling cod and halibut.

Salmon Fishing off of the beautiful West Coast of Vancouver Island, Nootka Sound is exceptional through out the summer months. Large runs of Chinook and Coho salmon peak from July 15th to August 25th. We recommend fishing within these dates to our guests to ensure a superior fishing experience.
