Oceania - An Oceania Voyage

AN OCEANIA VOYAGE

The following images were taken during a trans-Pacific voyage which began on 17th April 1930 and passed through the islands of Tahiti and Samoa where the following historical pictures were taken.

Fantastic volcanic peaks tower above the palm-fringed shores of Moorea in the Society Group. On this jewel among the South Sea Islands a shady beach hung with flowering vines, fades away into a cool, green distances, as shadowy valleys penetrate mountains which tradition says were once inhabited by a race of lizard-men.
