Plastic Fermentation Pails
Fermentation vessels must be made of food grade materials. The old garbage can method of fermenting beer or wine is just that, garbage. The most important characteristics of a plastic fermenter is a very smooth interior. Any scratches or ruff areas will provide a hiding place for bacteria which will rune your beer or wine. We recommend using plastic for primary fermentation only. Plastic pails provide the necessary head space to accommodate foaming and capacity to hold large volumes of fresh fruit.
