JENNIFER PAIGE'S ADVENTURE IN AFRICA

Top American singer Jennifer Paige chose Beach and Bush Adventures to show her an African Adventure during October 2002. Jennifer and her manager Mitch were treated to a personalized Adventure experience in KZN province. Her adventure included microlighting, snorkeling, game viewing, sea and lake kayaking, bungi swing,  white water rafting, Shakaland cultural experience and big-game horse riding.

Jen visited Africa after a whirlwind world promotional tour. She decided to take a break from her hectic schedule. After a recommendation from a friend, Jennifer decided to spend some time experiencing some of the adventure opportunities in the Zulu Kingdom.

The trip commenced at Balito on the KZN North coast where Jen and her manager Mitch were spending a few days.

On our way up the coast we stopped at Shakaland where we took in a cultural presentation and experienced an awesome display of dancing drawn from across South Africa's many cultural groups. Mitch quickly got into the swing of things and was first to join in the dancing.

After a night spent at the beautiful Avalone guest house situated on the pristine heritage wetland of St Lucia, we made straight for the beach where we experienced some of the best snorkeling and sea-kayaking to be had on the South African coast.

Jennifer took to the water like a mermaid and loved the adrenaline rush of catching a wave on a kayak as much as drifting over the reefs with their colorful inhabitants.

Jen and Mitch also took in the awesome St Lucia nature reserve where they spotted many game species including warthog, antelope of various species and buffalo. Much fun was had watching the mischievous monkeys playing the fool.

After our game drive we took to Kayaks on the St Lucia estuary. Crocs and Hippos were spotted and we got up close and personal with a  family of hippos, one of Africa's most respected and awesome creatures.

Jennifer and Mitch spent the rest of their time in St Lucia at the stunning Ndiza Lodge, where Phillip and his team made them very welcome and where they were truly able to unwind.

Next stop was the Natal South Cost where the ladies experienced white-water rafting in the beautiful Oribi Gorge and an amazing bungi-swing from the waterfall at the start of the Gorge.

The trip ended in Durban with a night of partying at top Durban restaurant 'Primi Piatti' and an early morning coastal microlight flight at La Mercy airfield.

Jennifer claims to be a converted 'adrenaline Junky' and is sure in the future to look up other adventure travel companies during her extensive travels. Thanks to Jennifer and Mitch from the Beach and Bush crew for being so adventurous and fun-loving.
