JAVA Software Engineer
Description:
- Define, design, and implement, multi-tier distributed software applications. Segment and design system layers to support componentized and layered application development, including user interface, business functionality, and database access.
- Work with other engineers, managers, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, system architecture, and adherence to development goals and principles.
- Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
- Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate to Las Vegas.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in CS or related field
- Ability to work under pressure, and deliver on time.
- 5+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications in NT and UNIX environments.
- Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java and J2EE, including servlets, JSP, , JDBC.
- Project experience with J2EE application servers required.
- Working knowledge relational databases (MS SQL), and basic NT/UNIX system administration.
- Additional items of interest -
- Expertise in EJB, JMS, and XML.
- Project experience with BEA's WebLogic application servers.
- Experience in retail-oriented ecommerce application development.

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and work well in a fast-paced team environment. Duties include installing, configuring and maintaining corporate network systems.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and configuration
- Knowledge of IP networking, name resolution (DNS, Active Directory, WINS, DHCP) architecture and configuration (NNTP based wirefeed client)
- Knowledge of web servers and storage devices
- Must be able to work with various computing applications, including MS Office, Visio, and an Integrated Development Environment
Associate's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred MCSE certification preferred.

Spanish Translator (Photoshop and HTML savvy) For this Spanish Translator position, our ideal candidate will be fully fluent in Spanish, have good translating experience (preferably in a Marketing environment) and have good knowledge of the Southern California Hispanic market.
The detailed qualifications that we are looking for are as follows:
- Fluent Spanish speaker (a must!), preferably native speaker
- Several years of translating experience (English/Spanish and vice versa), ideally in the marketing field
- Good editing and writing skills (please bring writing samples to interview)
- Knowledge of the Vegas market and understanding of its importance in the travel business
- Marketing-savvy and the ability to generate creative ideas on how to target the Southern California Hispanic market
- Strong knowledge of the Southern California Hispanic (mainly Mexican) culture
- A basic working knowledge of Photoshop and HTML is preferred
- Like the fast-paced e-commerce business environment
While a college degree is not necessary, we are looking for someone with a combination of education/experience in the following field(s): Business (Marketing preferred), Spanish (Translation focus), Communications, Graphic Design or related fields.
