With more than 3,000 pre-1972 hot rods, street rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks arriving from 38 states and Canada, Lowe’s Motor Speedway will become the “world’s largest drive-in” Friday through Sunday during the 10th annual K&N; Filters GoodGuys Southeastern Nationals presented by A Sani Can.
With a record number of pre-registered vehicles, event participants will drive to Lowe’s Motor Speedway from across the United States and Canada, some from as far away as Alaska.
Don and Sylvia Blake will make the 700-mile trip from Scotland, Ontario, to show their 1940 Mercury. While some participants will be hauling their cars to the speedway on trailers, the Blakes will display their own fall colors while rolling south in their purple, magenta and raspberry-striped four-door classic.
