The Chicago Botanic Garden can be a beautiful place to take a winter stroll. Photographers will find beauty in evergreens and serene views of the Japanese Garden. Dramatic patterns of ice and water are constantly shifting in the lake as the weather changes. "In Search of Paradise" awaits you in the Education Center, where giant murals and small gardens allow you to glimpse the glory of gardens around the world. The Greenhouses provide a quick trip to the tropics, with displays of cactus and succulents and many exotic species such as orchids, gingers and bougainvillea. Colorful bromeliads, flamingo flowers and kalanchoe are currently on display.
