Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs Dobriansky traveled to Baghdad to meet with Coalition Provisional Authority Head Ambassador L. Paul Bremer. The purpose of her visit is to meet with Iraqi women leaders and activists to hear first hand about their hopes, dreams and aspirations for liberated Iraq. Undersecretary Dobriansky’s visit will highlight the Department’s commitment to the full participation of women in Iraq’s political, economic and social life. She also will be discussing the status of women and children, human rights for all Iraqis and democracy and rule of law. |
