What's New?

  • Research Officer:  The Homeowner Protection Office is, currently, accepting applications for a Research Officer position. Deadline for submissions is Friday, December 19th, 4:00 pm.

  • Bob Maling was appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer of the HPO on October 24, 2003.

  • Fire Wise Construction & Protection: Many new homes in British Columbia are being constructed in the seclusion and privacy of forested areas. As we learned this summer these areas may be at risk of wildfires. The Protection Branch of the Ministry of Forests has provided information for both residential builders and homeowners about reducing fire hazards around your home and design/construction tips for constructing new homes that are fire resistant.
