Central Vancouver Island Location Comox Valley Regional Airport (YQQ) in Comox is fast becoming a regional transportation hub for Vancouver Island. So much so that a new airport is now under construction to handle the higher volume of visitors on Westjet's direct flights from Calgary and Edmonton. The Comox Valley's mid-point location puts all of  Vancouver Island from Victoria in the south to Tofino on the west coast to Port Hardy at Vancouver Island's northern tip within easy reach.
