The Center for Teacher Education, Training, and Research (CTETR) supports client institutions in three areas:
Housed in the Department of Language Teacher Education at the graduate School for International Training, the Center is organized to offer technical support, consultation, research and evaluation, and to conduct short-term courses in teacher education and foreign/second language teaching. Drawing on the expertise, practice and research of the Department's faculty and staff, the Center promotes practice in the area of teacher development and education that leads to progressive personal, institutional and social change for client institutions. The Center is currently working in diverse linguistic and cultural environments around the world, including Brazil, Japan, South Africa, Rwanda, and the United States. We collaborate with practitioners to better understand their perspectives and to help them strengthen what they do in sustaining their commitment to teaching and learning. |
