They generously have agreed to donate copies of our five shortlisted titles, which will be sent by Canada Reads to select libraries across the country. When our panelists cast their votes in February, additional copies of the final title for Canada Reads 2004 also will be sent to libraries.

ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation

A percentage of the sales of the winning book is being donated to ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation, a national charity committed to promoting adult and family literacy to the general public and to the private sector. ABC CANADA aims to create a fully literate Canadian population through research, public awareness campaigns and support for local literacy groups across Canada.
