This trip started on a chilly morning about 6 AM, as we arrived at the Sac River and launched the Vicki Ann.  Heading down river, we fished for a couple of hours before we hooked the first fish, and with a hoop and a holler, the fish came to the boat.  With stink now on the boat, we only managed 2 or 3 more hits in the next 2-3 hours, when we decided to go back up river, to a small run that I am familiar with, where we boated 2 more Sac River Kings.  Not huge fish on this trip, however, nice bright silver bullets, with scales busting.  They weighed in... a pair at 26, and one smaller fish of 12 pounds.  A good time was had by all!

This day started at 6 AM.  We got to the river about 6:30 AM.  It was a brisk morning, with everyone's aticipation high, as we shoved off.  As we went down the river, not much going, until Josh hooked into his first salmon ever...  A fresh silver hen!  Not much went on until about 1:30, when the water warmed up to 54 degrees.  Now it was Sal's turn, and he boated his first Sac River king!  On the following drift, Josh was on his second fish of the day.  The next drift, Sal caught his second and final king of the day.
The following day, one more Sac River king made it's way to the boat for Sal.  The fish were 27, 25, 16, and 14 pounds, with the biggest fish of the trip weighing in at 32 pounds.

The first day of this trip started out cold as we arrived at the river, but the fish soon warmed it up, as 4 fish came to the Vicki Ann. Weights for today averaged 18 pounds.  On the second day when we arrived at the river, the water level had been dropped again.  The water temperature was now at a brisk 52 degrees.  As the day wore on, the temperature rose to 54 degrees, and the fish began to bite.  Soon after... we had boated 4 more fish, with the biggest fish weighing in at 45 pounds.  Tony caught the 45 pounder, and Art caught his very first salmon!  Man, what a rush for these two guys!

Today, we met Gilbert and Mike in Anderson, and soon after, we were
off to the river. 5 minutes after launching the Vicki Ann, Mike hooked
his first ever salmon, and a bright 47 pounder made it's way to the boat. The second fish was for Gilbert, fresh off the Southern California Fires, and for the first time, he also hooked a bright salmon of 42 pounds. Then Mike hooked another of 35 pounds, with the best yet to come... Gilbert hooked and landed his first Trophy ever, a beautiful 52 pound King from the Sac River! What a great day in the rain!

This day began as we met Lawrence and Bill, and headed for the river. With the river stabilized and clear, today was a magic day, with all the fish coming at consecutive runs. 3 fish came to the Vicki Ann, averaging 25 pounds each, and the Big one of the day, was 32 pounds. This was Bill's very first King Salmon. So, we went trout and steelhead fishing the rest of the day. The second day was a little shorter trip, but 2 more beautiful salmon came to the boat, weighing in at 25 and 35 pounds. We all had a great time!

This trip began on a sunny day, with the river still clearing from the previous storm.  With 3 salmon caught, weighing in at, 29, 36, and a whopping 45 pounds, we considered this a victory for the Vicki Ann.  The second day, the river was dropped dramatically, and as a result, we only boated 1 fish,  but everyone had fun this trip, even though it was tough fishing.

This day started when we met Mike, Ray, Dean and Ray, and headed for the river.  It was muddy from the rains of the 2 days before, but the river surprised us with 4 fish, one of them being a "Bonus Fish" of a 16.5 pound steelhead.  The others were salmon, with the largest one weighing in at 25 pounds.  Everyone had a great time with lots of laughs.

This day began with a cold front moving in the night before, and the fishing got a little tough, but we managed to catch 2 fish anyway.  A nice bright little 12 pounder, and a 14 pounder came to the Vicki Ann.  The following day we managed 1 nice 25 pounder, while under a sheet of rain.  All in all we had a good time, with lots of smiles.

On a chilly morning at 5 AM, Eric, and a group of friends were ready for fishing.  This was an enthusiastic group of guys who worked hard, but with a quick weather change, and the river level being raised the night before, only 2 fish were caught.  There were others hooked, but they soon went their own way.  Eddie's fish weighed in at, 32 and 41 pounds.  The count was, Fish: 2  Fishermen: 6  All in all, it was a fun trip, with lots of laughter.

The fish were a little temperamental today, due to a cold front moving in overnight, and everyone worked hard this trip...  It was worth it!  Stephanie, Gary, and, Gary, all caught their very first salmon from the Sacramento River!  Their fish weighed in at, 12, 16, and 27 pounds, and all were happy.  A fun and memorable day for all.
