Our hope for the future lies with those who know the importance of creating open, tolerant societies. It lies with those who are committed to a world built on understanding, opportunity, transparent and participatory government, and the right of all people to live with dignity. The programs of The Experiment in International Living, School for International Training, and World Learning for International Development have the power to build the capacity of individuals to better the human condition -

• The young Experimenters who built a school for Somali refugee children living in Kenya,
• The SIT student whose graduate work produced a model for peace and reconciliation in his homeland of Rwanda,
• The physician whose SIT Study Abroad semester in Brazil motivated a career in public health and socially responsible medicine,
• The leader of a women's crisis center in Croatia whose tireless efforts have made one community a safer and more humane place for victims of abuse and violence.

Just as each of these citizens of the world has affected another person, a family, even a community, so too will your support help our students and staff to realize what our world can be when people of good will and courage are given the opportunity to act. Your investment in their work will be an investment in individuals who can and do make a difference. Your gift to our programs will provide the resources for scholarships and program initiatives needed to pursue the goals of peace and social justice. This year's annual giving goal is $700,000.
