Under Secretary for Global Affairs

The Office of the Under Secretary for Global Affairs, headed by Under Secretary Paula J. Dobriansky, coordinates U.S. foreign relations on a variety of global issues, including democracy, human rights, and labor; environment, oceans, and science; narcotics control and law enforcement; population, refugees, and migration; women's issues; and trafficking in persons.

  
Highlights
President Bush, Under Secretary of State Dobriansky and other U.S. Government officials hosted the visit of 17 Iraqi women politicians on November 13-20, 2003 in Washington, D. C.  

Under Secretary of State Dobriansky hosted a conference on trafficking in persons in Southeastern Europe.
